HGV Technician | 4 day week available | OTE: £50,000

Northampton
£20 - £23 an hour + overtime opportunities = OTE: £50,000
£1,500 annual tooling allowance
4 day working week available

RH Commercial Vehicles is looking for skilled HGV Technicians to join our growing workshop team.

Working within a brand-new, redeveloped modern workshop, you’ll maintain a variety of trucks and vans while benefiting from ongoing manufacturer training, excellent earning potential and genuine opportunities to progress your career.

Shift Patterns: Minimum 40 hours a week, multiple shift pattern options available.

4 day week: option 11:30 – 22:00 or 10:00 – 20:30

Alternating shifts:
Early: Monday – Thursday: 06:00 – 15:30, Friday: 06:30 – 14:30
Late: Monday – Thursday: 12:30 – 22:00, Friday: 12:30 – 21:00, Saturday: 08:00 – 12:00 (Saturday at overtime)

Nightshift: Monday – Thursday: 20:00 – 06:30 (£23 an hour)

Weekend shift: Friday – Sunday: 06:00 – 18:00 (£23 an hour)

What You’ll be Doing

Servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs efficiently
Complete work to DVSA and manufacturer standards
Using diagnostic equipment and workshop systems
Supporting apprentices and wider team
Keeping up to date with technical developments and training.

What We’re Looking for:

Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, Commercial Vehicle Repair or equivalent
Experience working on commercial vehicles such as Trucks and Vans
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Full driving licence
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable Skills:

Main dealer experience
HGV Licence
Renault Trucks or Isuzu Trucks experience
