Food and Beverage Manager
£30,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience

The Wroxeter, is a regionally renowned award-winning Wedding and Events Venue situated in the beautiful Shropshire Countryside between Shrewsbury and Telford. We are now looking for an experienced, dynamic and confident Food & Beverage Manager to lead our excellent young team of food service and bar staff.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven operator who enjoys being on the floor, running well organised services and leading a team with clarity, energy and consistency. You will have full responsibility for food and beverage delivery, working closely with our General Manager, Head Chef and Directors to ensure smooth, profitable operations.
This role will place the right candidate into the Wroxeter’s senior management team and has the potential to develop further.

The Role.
Take full responsibility for all aspects of the food and beverage service at the Wroxeter and its other business activities.
Leadership
Lead, motivate and develop the Food and Beverage Team.
Recruit, train, coach and performance manage the Team.
Foster a collaborative, hardworking and happy work environment where staff feel valued and encouraged to grow.
Customer Service
Maintain a strong floor presence and handle guest enquiries and feedback with professionalism and warmth.
Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and resolving any issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Delivery
Oversee all aspects of food and beverage service, ensuring efficient operation and high standards of quality.
Maintain and develop efficient and professional food and drink service systems, including effective “mis en place”.
Profitability
Maximise sales from footfall in a sustainable manner.
Minimise waste of manpower and materials.
Planning
Prepare rotas in good time to provide suitable cost-effective staffing.
Plan appropriate service for functions and events.
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
Manage and control stock to maintain appropriate levels and minimise waste.
Compliance and Standards
Ensure compliance with health and safety, food safety and licensing regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation and tidiness.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimise workflow and productivity.
Development
Assist in marketing and sales activity.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, make recommendations and implement improvements.
About you
- At least 3 years management experience in a quality led hospitality environment
- Proven success in running Food and Beverage operations
· Calm under pressure and confident in a fast-paced service environment
- Confident leadership with excellent floor presence and strong commercial awareness
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
· Excellent communication and people skills
- Passionate about guest experience, quality and team development
Desirable:
- Experience within a prestigious Wedding and Events Venue
- Experience working with budgets, forecasts and performance reporting
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
