Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in promoting oral health and delivering exceptional patient care. In this energised role, you will work closely with dentists and patients to provide preventive dental services, educate patients on oral hygiene practices, and ensure a comfortable, positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary choices, and preventive care strategies
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized
Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments performed and observations made during visits
Monitor patient comfort levels throughout procedures, providing reassurance and addressing concerns promptly
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols

Skills

Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral cavity structures, to accurately assess patient needs
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with team members
Ability to operate dental equipment efficiently while adhering to safety standards
Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills for managing patient files and treatment schedules
Passionate about promoting oral health and committed to continuous learning in dental technologies

Pay: £33.50-£35.00 per hour
