The Millwood Mortgage Co is a growing whole-of-market mortgage and protection brokerage with a friendly, close-knit team. We're looking for someone bright, organised and keen to get stuck in. From day one you'll be working on real client cases — liaising with lenders, estate agents and solicitors, and learning how the mortgage industry works from experienced advisers rather than out of a textbook.
Plenty of successful advisers started out in exactly this sort of role. Prove yourself here and there's a genuine route through to becoming a fully qualified mortgage adviser, with our backing every step of the way.
What you'll be doing
- Looking after mortgage cases from Decision in Principle right through to completion
- Liaising with lenders, estate agents, solicitors and surveyors to keep everything moving
- Submitting applications through lender portals and chasing up valuations and mortgage offers
- Checking clients' documents — payslips, bank statements, proof of deposit — against lender criteria
- Keeping clients in the loop and reassured at every stage, right up to getting the keys
- Keeping our CRM up to date, staying on top of deadlines, and making sure everything meets FCA standards
Who we're looking for
- Someone ambitious and genuinely keen to build a career in financial services — experience is a bonus, but attitude counts for more
- A sharp eye for detail — in this job, the small things really matter
- Confident with numbers, and able to communicate clearly and professionally on the phone and by email
- Well organised, able to juggle several cases at once without letting anything slip
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and quick to pick up new systems
- Someone who asks questions, takes ownership and wants to improve week on week
