Fitness Instructor – The Club & Spa, Congresbury
Days required: Saturday Sunday, Tuesday & Thursday - Opportunity to aquire more shifts.
Qualification: Level 2 Fitness Instructor NVQ or equivalent – Essential
Level 3 Personal Training Qualification – Desirable

About the Role

The Club & Spa, Congresbury is an award-winning health club and spa, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, professional and approachable Fitness Instructor to join our team.

Our members enjoy access to a highly equipped modern gym featuring Technogym equipment, alongside an InBody body composition analysis system, dedicated fitness studios, swimming pool and our wider award-winning health club and spa facilities.

This is a varied, member-facing role ideal for someone who is passionate about health and fitness, enjoys helping people achieve their goals and takes pride in delivering the high standards expected within an award-winning health club environment.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering professional and engaging gym inductions for new members
Providing members with knowledgeable fitness and exercise advice
Carrying out member fitness reviews and reassessments
Using our InBody body composition analysis equipment to support consultations and member progress
Supporting members in the safe and effective use of our Technogym equipment
Building positive relationships with members and helping create a welcoming and motivating gym environment
Completing routine swimming pool testing and recording results as required
Regularly checking the gym, studios, pool and other club facilities throughout the day
Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene across the gym, studios and fitness facilities
Identifying and reporting equipment faults or maintenance requirements promptly
Supporting the wider club team to ensure members consistently receive a high standard of service

Training & Development Opportunities

We want our instructors to have opportunities to develop their careers within the club.

For the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to receive Les Mills instructor training, allowing you to deliver additional group exercise classes at the club.

For Level 3 qualified instructors, there is also the opportunity to build your own personal training clientele within the club and deliver additional PT sessions, providing scope to increase your earnings while developing a loyal client base.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and can combine excellent fitness knowledge with great customer service.

You will be proactive around the club, confident approaching and assisting members, and willing to get involved in all aspects of maintaining our fitness facilities. Whether you are conducting an induction, helping a member with their training, completing a pool test or ensuring the gym is clean and well presented, you will play an important role in the overall member experience.
