Working pattern: Daytime hours, typically finishing around 3:30pm
Weekend work: At least one weekend shift required

The Barn Café is a busy, well-loved café known for its homemade baking, quality ingredients, and welcoming atmosphere. We take pride in producing beautiful cakes, scones, and afternoon teas, and we’re always looking to develop new ideas that keep our offering fresh and exciting.
About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Baker to join The Barn Café team. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys baking from scratch and takes real pride in presentation and flavour.
You’ll play an important part in preparing our cakes, scones, and afternoon teas, as well as contributing to the development of new baking ideas and seasonal specials.
Key Responsibilities
- Baking a range of cakes, scones, and sweet treats to a high standard
- Preparing and presenting afternoon teas
- Contributing ideas for new recipes and seasonal bakes
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Working efficiently as part of a friendly, supportive team
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a baker or in a similar kitchen role
- Confident baking cakes and scones consistently to a high standard
- Creative and keen to be involved in developing new ideas
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage time well
- Available to work at least one weekend shift
- Food hygiene certificate preferred (but not essential)
