Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organised Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations within our workshop environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining safety standards, and assist in supervising a team of technicians. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong mechanical knowledge and leadership skills to contribute to a dynamic and professional setting.

Duties include assisting in;

Supervise and coordinate workshop activities to ensure timely completion of projects
Organise work schedules and allocate tasks effectively among team members
Maintain inventory levels of tools, parts, and materials required for workshop operations
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Conduct regular inspections of equipment and tools, including hand tools and power tools, to guarantee proper functioning
Provide technical guidance and support to team members on mechanical tasks
Oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing of machinery and equipment within the workshop
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimise workflow efficiency
Keep detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections

Qualifications

Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills to liaise with team members and other departments
Ability to maintain high standards of safety and quality
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are desirable
Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to workshop environments

Pay: £30,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
