Recovery Driver

Since 1994, ABL 1 Touch has been a market-leading vehicle repair business, working in partnership with insurance companies. We pride ourselves not only on the quality of our work but also on providing excellent customer service.

As a Recovery Driver, you will ensure safe delivery / collection of all customers vehicles. You will be responsible for marking all damage on vehicles with chalk pen before taking images.

Responsibilities of a Recovery Driver will include:

Complete all Job Pack paperwork neatly and legibly and obtain signatures where required.
Ensure Customer Vehicle Condition Report is complete in addition to any images taken before passing to Estimators.
Comply with the Drivers Tacho Break Regulation 2009 (if applicable).
Policy Excess, VAT Bills and Private Quotes – ensure payment has been taken before leaving site – if payment has not been paid, query with the Transport Manager.
Ensure courtesy cars are up to standard and safe for customer use. Report any defects or damage to Transport Manager immediately
Ensure you follow the correct procedure when dealing with customer complaints.
Move cars in/ out of the workshop at the start or end of the day
Wash customer or courtesy cars where necessary

Skills and experience required as a Recovery Driver:

Must be over 21 and have a full UK driving license.
Driver Qualification Card
C1E or CE licence categories
You will be required to drive various vehicles within the driving license categories you hold.
Requires regular physical activity, including the movement and securing of vehicles, as well as lifting equipment.
Digi Driver Card
Experience in vehicle recovery is preferable
Team Player who uses initiative, be flexible and have a can-do attitude.
Cultural and organisational insight and takes responsibility for own actions.
