You'll lead a highly specialised PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT service while helping shape the continued growth of our Theranostics programme, including innovative treatments such as Lu-PSMA and Radium-223.
The Role
As the Lead Nuclear Medicine Radiographer, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of our PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT department, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinical governance and operational excellence.
Working closely with the Centre Leader, Head of Theranostics and Imaging and a highly experienced multidisciplinary team, you'll play a pivotal role in developing services, implementing new technologies and supporting the continued expansion of our Theranostics offering. You'll also lead and develop a team of Senior PET/CT Radiographers, creating a positive, high-performing culture where people can thrive.
What You'll Do
- Lead the daily operation of the PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic CT department.
- Coordinate the safe and effective delivery of Theranostic treatments, including Lu-PSMA and Radium-223.
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of Senior PET/CT Radiographers through coaching, performance reviews and ongoing professional development.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, physicists, pharmacists, nurses and wider clinical teams to deliver outstanding patient care.
- Support service development, introducing new clinical pathways and expanding diagnostic and Theranostic services.
- Maintain compliance with HCPC, IR(ME)R, IRR, ARSAC, CQC and Health & Safety standards.
- Support clinical research and imaging requirements for clinical trials.
- Champion quality improvement, governance and radiation safety across the department.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to continually enhance service delivery.
What You'll Have
Essential:
- BSc (Hons) in Radiography.
- 5+ years Nuclear Medicine experience
- HCPC registration.
- MSc in Nuclear Medicine (or equivalent).
- At least five years' post-qualification experience with progressive clinical development.
- Extensive experience across PET/CT, Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics.
- Excellent knowledge of radiation protection legislation, governance and quality assurance.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional patient-centred care.
