Full job description

We are seeking an exceptional all-round engineer to support a private owner with a varied portfolio including a motor yacht, classic vehicles, marine equipment, rural property and engineering projects.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving systems and taking ownership. No two days are the same. You’ll work independently, manage specialist contractors where needed, and become the trusted engineering adviser across a diverse range of assets.

The key deliveries for this role are:

Maintenance and upkeep of company vessels.
Prioritising own work and arrange delegation of all jobs relating to effective planned maintenance and all DIY and maintenance of the main house.
Building a strong network of service providers; ensuring providers and costs approved by the Healeys.
Producing, in collaboration with the Chairman, and working to: annual, monthly and weekly to-do lists.
To be receptive to completing tasks which may fall outside your role or remit with a positive attitude.
Being open and honest in all communication.

Experience

In depth working knowledge of boats and their maintenance.
Knowledge of mechanics and electrics - machinery
