At Helm Operations, we build the software that keeps the world’s maritime operations moving. From tugboats in Vancouver Harbour to offshore service vessels in the North Sea, our customers run their businesses with Helm CONNECT. And we don’t take that lightly.
We’ve grown from a small start-up on Canada’s west coast into a global leader serving many of the world’s largest maritime companies. Our mission is simple: deliver software that connects the marine industry like no other technology company.
But world-class software doesn’t happen by accident, it takes tough teams, ownership, and deep care for customers. That’s The Helm Way.
Now, we’re looking for a Project Manager (PM) who will support the Director of Professional Services to successfully execute on a portfolio of enterprise-level Helm CONNECT software implementations.
A significant focus of this role is Helm Operations’ largest current programme: a multi-year, multi-country rollout for a major European-headquartered marine towage and offshore group. Following a successful pilot, the programme is now scaling across Europe and into additional international regions, deploying the full Helm CONNECT product suite in a phased, country-by-country rollout. The work involves close coordination with the customer’s central programme office and a third-party systems integrator, including a complex integration between Helm CONNECT and the customer’s enterprise ERP platform.
The PM will help plan and deliver these regional workstreams, keep configuration and delivery on schedule across parallel countries, and support onsite training weeks as each market goes live.
The PM will bring a well-honed project delivery skillset to Helm Operations, exhibiting strong schedule, scope, budget, and quality management, and showing business acumen and professionalism when interfacing with project counterparts on the customer side. The PM will bring a toolkit of best practices to help improve project delivery and Helm Operations, and will offer knowledge and guidance to the Implementation Specialists, including implementation best practices, situational judgement, and project prioritization.
