Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Location: Main Warehouse, Aberbeeg
Hours: Part-time, 25 hours per week (Mon – Fri)
Hourly Pay: £13.45 per hour (In line with The Living Wage Foundation)
Role Overview:
GRP Live is a fast-paced technical production supplier, supporting events across the UK with professional equipment, logistics, and industry expertise. The Warehouse Assistant plays a key role in ensuring our rental stock is prepared, maintained, organised, and ready for use on live events.
Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, this role involves preparing and checking equipment for hire, loading and unloading vehicles, de-prepping returned kit, maintaining stock accuracy, and supporting the safe movement of equipment within the warehouse. The role will include manual handling and the use of a forklift to retrieve and store equipment on warehouse racking, always following company procedures and health and safety policies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and safe at all times
2. Carry out basic maintenance, cleaning and visual checks of equipment
3. Pick, prepare, check and pack equipment for hire jobs
4. Support team in loading and unloading of vehicles
5. Record stock movements accurately in rental software
6. De-prepping technical equipment on return to the warehouse
7. Accept and organise incoming warehouse deliveries
8. Use a forklift to safely retrieve and store equipment (Employees will only operate forklift trucks once appropriately trained and authorised by the Company)
9. Carry out manual handling tasks safely, including lifting and moving equipment.
10. Deliver and collect equipment from venues and event sites
11. Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the role as requested by the Warehouse Manager or Directors.
Essential Requirements:
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
2. Proficiency in computer skills and basic understanding of cloud-based systems
3. Able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English to understand safety instructions, complete documentation and work effectively as part of the team., with the ability to read and listen to instructions and communicate clearly with the team
4. Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and be eligible to drive company vehicles under the Company's motor insurance policy.
5. This is a physically active role requiring regular lifting, carrying, standing, bending and working at height using suitable access equipment where required.
1. Previous warehouse experience
2. Forklift certification or willingness to complete training
3. Experience in events, AV, Lighting, Staging or technical production
