Job Summary
Maternity cover opportunity for an experienced Assistant Accountant to provide immediate support in a busy finance team.
We are looking for an experienced, detail focused Assistant Accountant to join our finance team on a maternity cover basis. This role would suit someone who can quickly get up to speed, take ownership of key finance tasks and provide reliable support across management accounts, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and day-to-day finance operations.
Working closely with senior finance colleagues, you will help maintain accurate financial reporting, support strong financial controls and provide analysis that informs business decision making. We are looking for someone who is confident working with financial information and able to contribute effectively from the outset.
About You
We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and confident working in a finance environment. You will have strong numerical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Pevious experience in an Assistant Accountant, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance role.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident preparing journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and financial reports.
- Confident using Excel; experience with ERP systems would be beneficial.
- A clear communicator who can work effectively with finance colleagues and internal stakeholders.
- Proactive, reliable and comfortable working independently with financial data.
