Responsibilities

Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meats according to specifications and customer needs
Ensure all food handling and preparation complies with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist customers with product selection, offering expert advice on cuts and cooking methods
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butcher area, including equipment sanitation
Manage stock levels, rotate products appropriately, and assist with inventory control
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods
Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

Skills

Proven experience in food production, butchery, or culinary roles within a retail setting
Able to serve and give good customer service
Strong knowledge of meat cuts, food preparation techniques
Excellent attention to detail for precise meat trimming and presentation
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards
Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures
