We are looking for a client-focused Account Handler to join our established team. The role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients, handling annual renewals, responding to day-to-day insurance queries and ensuring clients receive a high level of service throughout the policy lifecycle.
You will work closely with clients, insurers and internal teams to ensure policies are reviewed, renewed and administered accurately and efficiently, while identifying opportunities to improve cover and provide additional solutions where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of existing commercial insurance clients and maintain strong, long-term relationships.
- Take ownership of the annual renewal process, from initial review through to placing and confirming cover.
- Review existing policies and identify changes in clients' circumstances, exposures and insurance requirements.
- Obtain and negotiate renewal terms with insurers and underwriters.
- Handle day-to-day client queries relating to policies, cover, documentation, premiums, claims and mid-term adjustments.
- Provide professional advice and guidance to clients on their insurance arrangements.
- Process policy adjustments, endorsements, cancellations, renewals and other mid-term changes.
- Ensure all client and insurer documentation is accurate, complete and issued within required timescales.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all activity is recorded on the relevant broking systems.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with company procedures, regulatory requirements and FCA standards.
- Monitor renewal dates and proactively contact clients to ensure there are no gaps in cover.

- Commercially aware with a focus on client retention and service.
- Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a wider team.
- Good IT and administration skills
Pay: £22,222.00-£23,000.00 per year
