Skilled Groundworker/Plant operator (Permanent Position with Immediate Start)

Location: Rotherham, working across the surrounding areas of South Yorkshire with Refular travel across the UK

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Mon - Fri | 07:30–16:00 (Overtime available)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Groundworker to join our Civils division on a permanent basis, with an immediate start available. The role covers a broad range of groundwork and civil engineering activities across commercial and industrial environments.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Groundworker who takes pride in their work and is looking to join a progressive and supportive company with long-term prospects.

Responsibilities

* Carrying out all aspects of groundworks including EV infrastructure, drainage, ducting, Reinforced concrete works , reinstatement works.

* Reading and working from construction drawings, site plans and specifications.

* Assisting with setting out and ensuring works are completed to the correct levels and tolerances.

* Operating plant and machinery where qualified.

* Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with site health & safety procedures.

* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.

* Communicating effectively with site managers, clients, subcontractors and other trades.

Requirements

* Proven experience in commercial and industrial groundworks.

* CSCS Card.

* CPCS or NPORS qualifications for Excavator, Dumper and/or Roller.

* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

* Strong understanding of health & safety procedures.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

* SSSTS or SMSTS qualifications.

* Confined Space Training.

* NRSWA Street Works qualification.

* Experience working within the renewables sector, including EV charging infrastructure and solar projects.
