Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Grill Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled foods according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station at all times
Follow food safety procedures and hygiene regulations diligently
Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are low
Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and report any maintenance issues promptly

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a kitchen assistant within a restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working with grill stations or in culinary roles is highly desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation and quality control
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings as required
