We are seeking an experiencedWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the operation and maintenance of the M25 tunnels and surrounding infrastructure. This is a varied, hands-on role working across high-voltage systems, tunnel plant, and traffic management and safety technology.
You’ll be part of a team responsible for keeping essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently, responding to faults, carrying out planned maintenance, and solving real-world engineering challenges that have an immediate impact on millions of road users.

What you'll be doing
- Maintaining and repairing electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, pumps, fans, VSDs, and lighting
- Supporting operations on 11kV HV systems (training/authorisation provided if needed)
- Working on traffic safety systems – signals, barriers, and sensors around the Dartford Crossing
- Diagnosing faults using schematics and fixing issues independently
- Responding to incidents and helping restore safe conditions quickly
- Carrying out a mix of electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance tasks
- Working safely at all times in line with strict health & safety standards
Who we're looking for
- Completed Electrical Apprenticeship
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Full UK driving licence
