As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our friendly and fast-growing Managed Service Provider team. You will provide friendly technical assistance and support to our clients via email, telephone and occasional on-site visits.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a wide range of IT systems, cloud services and used by our clients across multiple industries. You will work as part of our small team, developing new skills and supporting other team members in our close nit team.
Key Duties:
- Provide technical support to clients on a variety of IT issues via telephone and email.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems in a logical manner.
- Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware.
- Deploy and set up new equipment (laptops/desktops) in client environments.
- Respond to IT support tickets promptly, keeping clients updated and following up once resolved.
- Maintain organised and detailed notes on tickets and work completed.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve more complex issues.
- Assist in IT projects and system upgrades.
- Translate technical issues into plain English for clients, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Manage workload effectively to meet client expectations.
- Mentor and support other members of the team.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with access to a car for commuting and occasional client site visits.
- Strong customer service and telephone manner.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Organised approach to work
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and common windows applications.
- Confident, clear communicator who enjoys helping people.
Key Skills (recommended):
- Familiar with Microsoft 365 Admin Centre.
- Familiar with Windows 11, Windows Server 2016+ operating systems
- Customer service (telephone, email, remote support)
- Experience using Helpdesk/ticketing systems (Halo PSA experience beneficial)
