Full job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our multi award winning team in the position of Night Porter.

We are looking for a candidate who has previous experience with working nights and within the hospitality industry although it is not essential. Full training will be given. We are also be looking for the successful applicant to hold the same values as the whole team at Southdowns Manor – offering a truly bespoke service to the highest of standards every day.

Southdowns Manor is a family run exclusive use wedding and events venue situated between Midhurst and Petersfield but within easy reach of Chichester and Portsmouth and surrounding areas. We host around 200 + exclusive use events per year and pride ourselves on customer service excellence and always providing the best product. Due to this we have built up an excellent reputation within the South Coast and beyond.

We have a close-knit team throughout the entire venue and rarely have positions such as this come available. This is an ideal opportunity to get involved in the exclusive use wedding and events industry which is very different to the hotel and restaurant industry. A rare opportunity to have a healthier work - life balance in this industry.

The successful applicant will:

- Have previous experience in working nights

- Be able to work alone and use initiative

- Be proactive and ready to assist guests as and when needed during the night

- Hold and undertake the same principles set out by the Operations Manager & senior management – i.e. having a friendly, non-intrusive, professional approach to all guests

- Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures

Your own transport is essential due to the location of the venue.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: £15.00 per hour
