Summary:
We’re seeking a reliable and hardworking Junior Water Hygiene Technician to join our small friendly team. This is a great opportunity for someone starting out in the water hygiene industry or looking to build a technical career with full training and mentoring provided.
Responsibilities:
- Temperature monitoring and routine inspections.
- Water sampling from various outlets.
- Flushing of little-used outlets.
- Cleaning and disinfection of showerheads and hoses.
- Assisting with cold water storage tank cleans and chlorination’s.
- Supporting senior engineers with tasks such as TMV servicing, closed system checks, and calorifier inspections.
- Completing accurate on-site paperwork and reporting.
We are Looking For:
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
- Comfortable working in varied environments (plant rooms, roof spaces, schools, etc.)
- Basic IT literacy for completing electronic reports
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in water hygiene or plumbing.
- Knowledge of Legionella control, ACoP L8, HSG274 parts 2 and 3.
- Any relevant training (e.g., Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling, CSCS card).
