We’re looking for an experienced Freight Operator to join our Import Operations team in Southampton. If you have experience with Sea Freight imports and enjoy working in a fast paced logistics environment, we’d love to hear from you.
As part of the JAG UFS Group, you’ll be joining a family run business with over 40 years of experience. You’ll work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive team while building a long term career in logistics.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing import shipments from booking through to final delivery Coordinating Sea Freight and European Road Freight movements Preparing shipping, customs and import documentation Completing customs clearances using our in house system Liaising with customers, shipping lines, hauliers and government agencies Tracking shipments and ensuring all compliance requirements are met Delivering excellent customer service throughout every shipment
We’re looking for someone with:
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Freight Operator Sea Freight import experience Knowledge of customs procedures and import documentation Excellent communication and organisational skills A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail Experience with Port Health requirements is an advantage

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
