Physiotherapy Graduate – Student Independence Mentor / 1:1 LSA

Full-time | West London | September 2026

Could you use your physiotherapy skills to help a young person become more independent?

We are looking for a caring, proactive and perceptive Physiotherapy graduate to provide 1:1 support to a bright and ambitious young wheelchair user studying at a specialist creative media college in West London.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with one student and make a genuine difference to her college experience, while gaining valuable experience in SEND, physical disability, accessibility and independence support within a creative environment.

The role includes:

Providing 1:1 support throughout the college day
Supporting mobility, physical access and positioning
Following guidance and therapy programmes provided by the student’s physiotherapist and occupational therapist
Helping the student access learning, technology and studio-based environments
Encouraging independence and knowing when to help and when to step back
Working with teaching staff, therapists and family to provide consistent support

We’re looking for someone who is:

A Physiotherapy graduate or has relevant physiotherapy experience
Warm, perceptive and a practical problem-solver
Confident supporting a young person with physical disabilities
Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new systems and equipment
Reliable and able to build a positive, professional relationship with a young person

Experience in education is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided by the student’s physiotherapist and occupational therapist, including guidance on physical needs, postural management and therapy programmes.

An interest in music, media or the creative industries would be an advantage.

£500+ per week PAYE | 32.5 hours per week | Term-time
