Full job description

Head of Finance and Business Services – UKLocation

Cramlington, Northumberland (primarily office-based)

Reports to

Group CEO / Group CFO

Role Purpose

Lead finance, cashflow, HR, business systems and administration across the UK group. Provide strong financial control, governance and shared services while supporting business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting.
Maintain rolling cashflow forecasts and oversee working capital.
Manage finance facilities, lender relationships and refinancing plans.
Oversee HR administration, policies, onboarding and employment processes.
Own the D365 implementation roadmap and business systems.
Lead UK administration and shared services from Cramlington.
Ensure governance, compliance, reporting and internal controls.
Coach and lead the Finance & Business Services team.
Produce commercial reporting by company, location and revenue stream.

Authority

Recommend financial, systems and organisational improvements. Operate within delegated authority and Group approval limits.

Key Performance Indicators

Accurate monthly reporting.
Forecast accuracy.
Weekly 13-week cashflow maintained.
Timely finance renewals.
D365 delivery against plan.
HR compliance and service standards.
Delivery of agreed cost savings and process improvements.

Experience

Senior finance/business services leadership experience.
Strong cashflow and financial control background.
Experience with ERP systems (preferably D365).
Multi-company reporting experience.
Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) desirable.

First 90 Days

1. Review financial controls.

2. Implement weekly cashflow reporting.

3. Produce finance agreement register.

4. Review HR, systems and administration structure.

5. Validate D365 roadmap.

6. Establish monthly performance reviews.

7. Present improvement plan to Group.

Pay: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
