Job Title: Trainee Paralegal - Private Client
Hours of Work: 09.00 – 17.15 hrs – Monday to Friday.
Salary: Dependent on experience.

The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Paralegal to join our Private Client Team based in our Lincoln office.
We are seeking an individual who holds a degree in Law or has equivalent relevant professional experience. Full training will be provided, but a genuine interest in Private Client is essential.
The successful candidate will be motivated, resilient, and able to work effectively under pressure while meeting tight deadlines. They will also be committed to delivering excellent client care and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and the registration of Enduring Powers of Attorney and Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Assist with Estate Administration matters, including property visits where required.
- Assist with Trust Administration matters.
- Deal with initial client enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
- Undertake file opening and file closure procedures in accordance with the firm's requirements.
- Provide an ongoing and high-quality service to existing clients.
- Work with Partners and other Fee Earners to develop new business opportunities.
- Support the growth and development of the Private Client Department, maximising cross-referral opportunities across all offices and departments.
- Produce fee income in line with agreed targets and objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date legal knowledge and professional skills, keeping informed of developments in law and practice within the Private Client field.
- Maintain financial control, including the collection of monies on account and adherence to billing procedures.
- Record time accurately and maintain detailed daily records of client and internal work.
- Carry out fee-earning work accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with the Company's quality standards and risk management procedures.
- Work with the Company's Marketing Team to promote and enhance the reputation and business of the Company.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role and level of responsibility.
Candidate Profile:
Essential Experience:
- Law Degree.
- High level of competency in using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Desirable Experience:
- Experience of working in a law firm and/or experience within Private Client.
- Competent in using case management systems.
- Clear understanding of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules and Money Laundering Regulations.
