Looking for a career where no two days are the same?
Walker Singleton Group is one of Yorkshire's leading independent Chartered Surveying firms, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and people-focused Auction Coordinator to join our growing Asset Advisory team.
Based in our Leeds City Centre office, you'll become part of a business that works with insolvency practitioners, accountants, banks, lenders and businesses across the UK, helping clients manage assets from valuation through to sale.
Our online auctions sell everything from plant and machinery, IT and stock to high end watches, jewellery and cars. It's fast-paced, varied and exciting—and we're looking for someone who thrives in that environment.
The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional administration role.
You'll be at the heart of our online auction operation, coordinating multiple sales, keeping projects moving, supporting colleagues across the business and delivering an outstanding experience for buyers and clients alike.
You'll work alongside an experienced team of auction and valuation professionals, helping to organise auctions taking place across the UK. From the first enquiry to the final collection of sold lots, you'll play a key role in ensuring everything runs smoothly.
If you're someone who enjoys being busy, loves organisation, communicates confidently and can adapt quickly when priorities change, you'll fit right in.
While this is predominantly an office-based position, you'll have the opportunity to regularly visit auction sites, work from our regional offices and occasionally work remotely where appropriate.
What you will be doing
Every day is different, but your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for auction enquiries by phone and email.
- Coordinating multiple online auctions from preparation through to completion.
- Managing auction schedules, key deadlines and logistics across the UK.
- Utilising auction software to coordinate auction catalogues across the bidding platform.
- Approving bidder registrations and supporting customers throughout the auction process.
- Processing a high volume of client payments accurately and efficiently.
- Issuing invoices and coordinating collection of purchased lots.
- Working closely with Project Coordinators, valuers and external contractors.
- Supporting valuation teams with administration and document preparation.
- Producing client fee invoices.
- Providing excellent customer service while handling a high volume of calls, particularly during busy auction closures.
- Travelling to auction sites to support live operations.
- Maintaining high standards of confidentiality, information security and compliance at all times.
What we are looking for
We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and enjoys working with people.
You'll bring:
- Previous administration and customer service experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Confidence managing multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- A professional and confident telephone manner.
- The ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Great attention to detail.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to use your own initiative.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues across the wider business.
- A full UK drivers’ licence
Most importantly, you'll be approachable, adaptable and enthusiastic, with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
