Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cheerleading Coach to assist / head coach ( depending on experience ) our cheerleading team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a desire to educate and inspire young athletes. This role involves developing cheerleading skills, fostering teamwork, and promoting a positive and energetic environment for all participants. Head coach - £30 per hour

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct regular training sessions to develop cheerleading techniques, routines, and stunts.
Educate team members on the fundamentals of cheerleading, including choreography, tumbling, and safety practices.
Organise and oversee team practices, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and effectively.
Foster a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie among team members, encouraging mutual support and respect.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school officials regarding schedules, expectations, and performance feedback.
Monitor the progress of each athlete, providing constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations during all practices and events.

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably in cheerleading or a related field.
Strong educational skills with the ability to teach complex techniques in an understandable manner.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with athletes of varying ages and skill levels.
Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes to achieve their personal best while fostering a positive team environment.
Strong organisational skills
A thorough understanding of cheerleading safety protocols and injury prevention measures.

A coaching qualification is preferred but not essential.
