Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the accounts department by managing various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient financial processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic organisation, working with a range of accounting software and financial systems.

Duties

Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as sage.
Process accounts payable transactions accurately and promptly
Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
Reconcile invoices and ensure timely payments to suppliers
Sage for payroll and financial management tasks
Maintain organised records of transactions and supporting documentation
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as required

Skills

Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage,
Experience with accounts payable processes and data entry accuracy
Familiarity with financial services and reporting standards
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently within deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and suppliers
Knowledge of Workday or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is desirable
Prior experience in a finance or accounting role.
