Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing and motivating gymnasts of various ages and skill levels, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. This role offers an exciting opportunity to foster athletic development, promote physical fitness, and inspire confidence in our gymnasts. Prior experience in sports coaching or teaching is highly desirable, alongside a genuine enthusiasm for gymnastics.

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics training sessions tailored to different age groups and ability levels
Demonstrate proper techniques and safety procedures to minimise injury risks
Monitor and assess gymnast progress, providing constructive feedback and encouragement
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during training sessions and activities
Organise competitions, exhibitions, or showcases to showcase gymnast achievements
Maintain equipment and ensure the training area is clean, organised, and safe at all times
Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and colleagues regarding gymnast development and programme updates
Assist in the development of customised training programmes to support individual goals

Skills

Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably within gymnastics or related disciplines
Strong teaching abilities with the capacity to motivate and inspire learners of all ages
Excellent communication skills to clearly convey instructions and feedback
Organised with the ability to plan engaging sessions that meet programme objectives
Knowledge of safety standards and injury prevention techniques in gymnastics
Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if required
Enthusiasm for promoting physical activity and fostering a positive team environment

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
