We are currently seeking a Purchasing Administrative Assistant working as part of a small, busy Purchasing Team.
What you'll be doing
As Purchasing Administrative Assistant, you'll provide essential administrative support to the Purchasing Team while developing your knowledge of purchasing processes and supply chain operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for internal product and stock availability enquiries.
- Maintaining and updating supplier delivery dates and product information.
- Analysing purchasing data and identifying overdue orders.
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain accurate stock and delivery information.
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and warehouse teams to resolve delivery, stock and quality issues.
- Producing reports for the Purchasing Team and Senior Leadership Team.
- Supporting the processing and transmission of purchase orders.
- Maintaining supplier information, including contact details, shipping terms and product data.
- Monitoring supplier and competitor inventory levels.
- Assisting with buying activities as part of your future development within the team.
This role can benefit from our hybrid working policy which requires three days minimum working at our offices in Willand and up to two days working from home; however, during completion of training we will require you to remain on site.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and determination to find solutions.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience in a similar administrative, purchasing or supply chain role.
- Advanced Excel skills or relevant qualification
