Job Overview:
We are seeking a responsible and caring individual to join our team Childminding assistant.
Based in a home environment we strive to provide quality care and early education.
You will be responsible for providing quality childcare and creating a safe and nurturing environment for children. This is a paid position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care for children in accordance with their individual needs
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, such as reading, arts and crafts, and outdoor play
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
- Prepare meals and snacks for children, taking into consideration any dietary restrictions or preferences
- Assist with educational activities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Communicate effectively with parents
- Follow established routines and schedules
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children, such as in a day care, nursery, or babysitting role is desirable but not essential.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and other caregivers
- Proficiency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
Paediatric first aid training will be provided as will relevant safeguarding training.
Formal qualifications for the right candidate will be provided
This job is 10 hours a week minimum however there will be opportunities to work more hours.
Starting September 2026 for 1 year with the possibility of becoming permanent.
