Blackwater Academy is an alternative provision dedicated to supporting students who thrive outside traditional school settings. Our tailored approach empowers students to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve academic and personal success.

The Role

As a Science Teacher at Blackwater Academy, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, tailored to the needs of KS3 and KS4 students.
Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes resilience, curiosity, and achievement.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual education plans.
Track and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents/carers.

We are seeking a teacher who:

Has experience with the KS3/4 Science curriculum
Is empathetic, resilient, and skilled at building positive relationships with students who face challenges.
Has a creative approach to teaching and the ability to inspire a love of learning in all students.
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
