Where You Fit In

We're looking for a proactive, commercially minded Business Development Representative who thrives on creating opportunities through outbound prospecting.

This is an ideal role for someone with 2–5 years' experience in B2B technology sales who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and exceeding targets. You'll be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers, creating qualified sales opportunities and working closely with Account Executives and Marketing to drive predictable pipeline growth.

This isn't a role for someone who waits for opportunities to arrive. We're looking for a self-starter who takes ownership, embraces new technology and enjoys finding creative ways to engage senior decision-makers.

Impact You'll Make

Generate qualified sales opportunities through proactive outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn and other digital channels.
Build targeted account lists and execute strategic outreach campaigns.
Research prospects to understand their business challenges, priorities and buying signals.
Engage senior decision-makers including Sales Directors, Commercial Directors, Managing Directors, CEOs and Operations leaders.
Qualify opportunities using our sales methodology before handing them to Account Executives.
Work closely with Marketing on account-based marketing (ABM) campaigns, events and follow-up activities.
Use AI tools, intent data and sales engagement platforms to improve prospecting effectiveness.
Maintain accurate records within SugarAI CRM.
Consistently achieve and exceed activity, meeting and pipeline targets.
Share feedback from prospects to help improve messaging, campaigns and go-to-market strategy.
Stay informed on industry trends across manufacturing, distribution and wholesale.

What You'll Bring

2–5 years' experience in a Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative or similar outbound B2B SaaS sales role.
Proven success generating qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting.
Confident speaking with senior business stakeholders and executives.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Highly organised with excellent time management.
A self-starter who takes initiative and works well independently.
Ambitious, resilient and motivated by achieving and exceeding targets.
Curious mindset with a desire to continuously learn and improve.
Experience using CRM systems and sales engagement platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling CRM, ERP, AI, SaaS or business software solutions.
Experience selling into manufacturing, distribution or wholesale organisations.
Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Salesloft, 6sense or similar prospecting and intent platforms.
Experience working alongside Marketing on ABM initiatives.
