Job Summary

We are seeking a self-employed Painter and Decorator to undertake a variety of painting and decorating projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality finishes on both residential and commercial properties. This role offers flexibility and independence, allowing you to manage your own schedule while providing professional services to clients. A strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and reliable transportation are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming prior to painting or decorating
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
Ensure all work meets client specifications and industry standards
Manage your own schedule and liaise directly with clients regarding project timelines and requirements
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Source quality materials and tools needed for each project
Provide advice to clients on colour schemes, finishes, and decorating techniques

Experience

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable
Ability to operate various painting tools and equipment efficiently
Good understanding of different types of paints, wallpapers, and finishing techniques
Strong communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and suppliers
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites
Experience working independently as a self-employed tradesperson is advantageous

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
