Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Pastry Chef, where passion for baking and creativity come together to craft exquisite desserts and baked goods that delight every guest. In this role, you will lead the pastry section with enthusiasm, ensuring every item meets our high standards of quality, presentation, and flavor. Your expertise in food production, food preparation, and baking will be essential in creating memorable culinary experiences. We are committed to fostering a vibrant work environment that values innovation, precision, and dedication.

Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods and desserts with attention to detail, consistency, and presentation excellence
Develop new pastry recipes and innovate existing ones to keep our offerings fresh and exciting
Oversee all aspects of pastry production, including ingredient sourcing, measurement, mixing, baking, and finishing techniques
Maintain strict food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the pastry kitchen at all times
Collaborate with the culinary team to coordinate menu planning and special event preparations
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to prevent shortages
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in proper baking techniques and food safety procedures

Qualifications

Proven experience in food production, food preparation, cooking, or bakery environments within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong culinary experience with a focus on baking and pastry arts
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen
Excellent skills in food presentation and attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
Kitchen experience that demonstrates versatility across various culinary tasks is preferred
Passion for creating innovative desserts and a commitment to continuous learning in the pastry arts

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
