Contract: Temporary (4-5 Weeks)

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Production Operative to join our team. This role would suit candidates with experience working on assembly lines, within manufacturing environments, or in production-based roles where quality, accuracy, and productivity are key.
You will be responsible for assembling and preparing smart hot water cylinders for installation, carrying out quality inspections, and ensuring all products meet the required standards before distribution.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment where attention to detail and the ability to follow set processes are essential.
What You'll Be Doing
- Working on a production line assembling hot water cylinders and associated components.
- Fitting Temperature & Pressure (T&P) relief valves using specialist tools and sealants.
- Carrying out quality inspections and leak tests to ensure products meet required standards.
- Following assembly instructions and production procedures accurately.
- Identifying and reporting any defects or quality concerns.
- Repackaging, labelling and preparing finished products for dispatch.
- Safely handling materials and products throughout the production process.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Contributing towards daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, assembly line, production or engineering environment.
- Experience using hand tools, mechanical assembly equipment or production machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Experience carrying out product inspections or quality checks.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience.
- Experience working with plumbing, heating or engineering components.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and production standards.
- Experience using torque wrenches, hand tools or assembly equipment.
- Counterbalance forklift, pallet truck or warehouse equipment experience.
- MEWP/IPAF licence.
