Overview of Role
To support the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of manufacturing and warehouse activities at the Kings Lynn site. The role involves operating blending and bagging processes, handling bulk and packaged materials, and ensuring accurate storage and dispatch while maintaining high safety and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Operations:
- Operate fertiliser blending, bagging, and processing equipment in line with site procedures.
- Ensure correct batching and product formulation to meet customer specifications.
- Monitor plant performance and report abnormalities, breakdowns, or quality issues.
- Assist with plant start-up, shutdown, cleaning, and changeovers between products.
- Carry out basic fault-finding and support maintenance activities where required.
- Maintain accurate production records, including Manufacturing and Bottling Logs.
Warehouse & Yard Operations:
- Receive, check, and store inbound raw materials.
- Safely load and unload HGVs using forklifts.
- Pick, prepare, and dispatch customer orders in line with delivery schedules.
- Manage stock locations and maintain stock accuracy across yard and warehouse areas.
- Segregate materials appropriately, ensuring product integrity and avoiding contamination.
- Support traffic management on-site, especially around HGV movements and pedestrian routes.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance:
- Strictly follow site safety rules, including vehicle segregation, PPE requirements, and safe systems of work.
- Handle fertiliser products and raw materials in accordance with COSHH assessments.
- Identify and challenge unsafe behaviours, reporting near misses and incidents.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards across production areas, yard, and warehouses.
Quality & Operational Standards
- Ensure all products meet required specifications and customer standards.
- Prevent cross-contamination between different fertiliser products.
- Report non-conformances promptly and assist with corrective actions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, safety, and cost control.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven warehouse/yards experience with heavy goods handling.
- Forklift Truck Licence – Counterbalance (essential).
- Experience working around HGVs, loading operations, and yard safety controls.
- Good understanding of health & safety in an industrial setting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small site team.

Pay: £30,000.00 per year
