This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to ensuring the Company meets its statutory and reporting requirements while maintaining effective financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

Take ownership of period-end close activities, including the preparation and posting of month-end journals and associated accounting processes.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining a thorough understanding of balances and proactively investigating any variances identified.
Resolve reconciliation issues independently where appropriate, escalating as required.
Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and supporting documentation.
Prepare and analyse key movement schedules, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
Support the year-end audit process and act as a key contact for auditors, providing timely and accurate information.
Prepare audit schedules, samples, and supporting documentation to facilitate an efficient audit process.
Produce accurate financial information to support reporting, analysis, and decision-making.
Support the Financial Accountant and Financial Controller in delivering accurate financial reporting and tax returns.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, controls, and reporting practices.
Ensure statutory and reporting requirements are met and that financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies.

About You

MAAT (AAT Level 4) qualified as a minimum requirement. Applications are welcomed from newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA candidates, as well as individuals actively studying towards a professional qualification. We are committed to supporting development and, for the right candidate, further study support may be available following successful performance in the role.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and financial systems.
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Comfortable working to deadlines within a dynamic and evolving organisation.
