Overview
We are seeking a creative and highly organised Learning Resource Designer to join our team, working alongside the Head of Resources.
The main focus of this role is to design and produce high-quality, engaging training materials for Nuco Training instructors and learners. The successful candidate will take written and technical content and transform it into clear, professional and visually effective resources.
The role will also involve monitoring changes to relevant regulations, guidance and industry standards, working with internal subject matter experts to ensure resources remain accurate and up to date. Previous expertise in first aid or related subjects is not essential.
Responsibilities
- Design, create and maintain professional training resources.
- Develop new materials for existing and new qualifications.
- Turn technical content into clear, engaging and accessible learning materials.
- Ensure resources are consistent across different formats and qualifications.
- Monitor relevant legislation, guidance and industry updates.
- Work with internal subject matter experts to update resources where required.
- Coordinate resource development projects, deadlines and version control.
- Review existing materials and identify opportunities to improve their design, clarity and effectiveness.
Resources may include:
- Training manuals and books.
- PowerPoint presentations.
- Tutor notes.
- Handouts and worksheets.
- Instructor guidance documents.
- Forms and documents.
- Training videos.
- Online and blended learning content.
- Website development.
Subjects may include first aid, First Aid for Mental Health, safeguarding, food safety and health and safety.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have strong graphic design and document layout skills, with the ability to produce professional, engaging and easy-to-use learning materials.
Experience using Adobe InDesign is particularly important, with experience in Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and Microsoft PowerPoint also highly desirable.
They should have excellent attention to detail, strong written communication and proofreading skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
The candidate does not need to be a subject matter expert but must be confident researching and monitoring regulations and guidance, working closely with internal specialists to ensure materials remain accurate and compliant.
Pay: £26,440.00-£31,440.00 per year
