Full job description

Leda Associates is partnering with a well-established and highly respected regional construction business to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of projects across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

This organisation has built an excellent reputation for quality, collaboration, and long-term client relationships. Their projects span residential, education, heritage, and commercial sectors, offering a varied and technically interesting workload with strong career prospects.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring financial control while supporting successful delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing project costs, budgets, and financial reporting
Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
Preparation and negotiation of subcontract packages
Valuations, variations, and cost forecasting
Risk and value management
Supporting project teams to deliver on time and within budget
Liaising with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
Final account preparation and agreement

Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction
Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Experience across residential, commercial, or heritage projects preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, detail-focused approach

Desirable:

Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
Experience working for a main contractor
Knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., JCT)
