The Role
We are looking for an Experienced Skilled Labourer to join our team on a long-term, self-employed basis.
This is not a general labouring or handyman role. We're looking for someone with genuine residential construction site experience who understands how building projects operate and is happy to work alongside different trades to keep projects progressing.
You'll work closely with our Working Foreman and assist across a wide variety of construction activities, helping to deliver high-quality residential projects from the early stages through to completion.
Typical Duties
- Assisting bricklayers, carpenters and groundworkers
- Hod carrying during brickwork operations when required
- Groundworks, drainage and external works
- Preparing sub-bases for paving and landscaping
- Installing cement board, plasterboard and general site boarding
- General construction and making-good works
- Loading out materials and maintaining a safe, organised site
- Using initiative to help keep projects progressing
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has at least five years' experience working on residential construction sites.
- Has a solid understanding of general building methods and site practices.
- Is physically fit, hardworking and reliable.
- Is happy to turn their hand to a wide variety of construction tasks.
- Takes pride in producing good-quality work.
- Works well as part of a small professional team.
- Has their own transport and basic hand tools.
CSCS card preferred but not essential.
