Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team in Torquay. This permanent, full-time position plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction during their stay.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily cleaning tasks in guest rooms, corridors, and public areas to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required, ensuring all items are in good condition.
Restock cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly.
Assist in the laundry process, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
Follow health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.

Qualifications:

No formal education required; however, a basic understanding of cleaning procedures is beneficial.
Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role is preferred but not essential for entry-level candidates.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and a friendly disposition.
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
