Full job description

Role: Digital Marketing Assistant

Location : Macclesfield, Cheshire, SK11 6QU (Local UK applicants only!!)

Hours: Ideally 2 days per week, min 1 day in the office!

Rate: £150 per day/£1200 per month

Term: Flexible - temp/perm/freelance

We're an award winning Exhibition Stand Design & Project Management Agency with over 35 years experience in the provision of creative, flexible and innovative designs. To support our growth and development strategy we are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic marketing team.

This paid role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in digital marketing, manage multiple projects, and contribute to the growth of our brand across various online platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for innovative marketing strategies. This position is suitable for individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and support our B2B marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

· Social Media Management

o Create and schedule social media content

o Monitor engagement and audience growth

o Research trending topics and hashtags

o Respond to comments / messages

· Analytics and Reporting

o Track website traffic using Google Analytics

o Prepare monthly reports on SM and Website performance

· Paid Advertising

o Assist with Google Ads and monitor performance

o Suggest paid for ads on SM optimization based on performance

· Website Management

o Update website content

o Upload blog posts, case studies and images

o Coordinate with web developers if needed

· Market Research

o Research competitors

o Identify new marketing opportunities

o Analyse customer behaviour and trends

· Admin support

o Organise marketing files and assets

o Coordinate with designers and developers

o Schedule meetings with Head of Change on progress and updates

Skills

Strong management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Proficiency in SEO techniques and experience with Google Ads campaigns.

Knowledge of WordPress website management and Adobe Photoshop for content editing.

Analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics to track performance metrics.

Excellent copywriting skills tailored for diverse audiences across multiple channels.

Experience managing social media platforms and email marketing tools.

Understanding of B2B marketing strategies and relationship management.

Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; IT literacy is essential.

Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
