Paint Technician required for a busy Bodyshop in West Thurrock.
With Vehicle Preparation & Painting Experience.
Duties will Include -
As a Paint Technician you will be involved in the Preparation & Respraying of Light Commercial Vehicles, prepare repaired vehicles and loose panels for paint, and refinish the repaired vehicle and/or panels to a standard comparable to the original paintwork.
In line with manufacturers specifications, utilising modern equipment and techniques.
You will also need to know and be aware of the products whilst following the correct repair techniques.
MAIN ACTIVITIES AND TASKS
1. To use abrasives to prepare the repaired vehicle and any loose panels for paint.
2. To ensure that all refinishing is carried out professionally and to the Customer’s satisfaction, using the correct paint and in line with the Manufacturer’s specification.
3. To complete the quality control process sheet after each stage and before it moves to the next stage.
4. To ensure that a technician certified in the discipline countersigns your quality control process sheet before it moves to the next stage.
5. To identify and handle hybrid vehicles correctly.
6. To ensure that all work is completed on time and without the need of rectification.
7. Always look to improve working methods, subject to the manager’s approval.
8. Always wear and use appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment where and when required.
9. To comply with Company repair and safe working methods.
10. All health and safety procedures, including COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), to be adhered to at all times.
11. Any other reasonable tasks, as necessary, to be carried out at the request of a senior manager.
Salary Negotiable upon Experience.
07:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday (45Hours Per Week)
You may be required to work additional hours, this may include Saturday mornings, which will be payable at overtime rate.
