DYFED STEELS LTD ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING A LOADER OPERATOR
Dyfed Steels Ltd is the largest Steel Stockholder and Processor in Wales and the South West of England and is celebrating 50 years of trading in 2026. An opportunity has come up for an experienced loader operator at our depot in Bynea, Llanelli.
Job Type
1. Full-time and permanent, subject to successful completion of probation period.
2. Shift work, Monday – Friday Days/Afternoons or Sunday – Thursday nights.
3. This position requires an immediate start.
Key Tasks and Duties:
1. Loading outgoing vehicles in accordance to our Health & Safety procedures
2. Offloading incoming vehicles and safely moving steel into racks
3. Assisting the machine operators by loading and unloading beds
4. General Housekeeping - keep working area clean and maintain high levels of Health & Safety
5. Working as part of our well established team.
6. Assist in workcentre housekeeping and any 5s activities
7. Having the ability to carry out the above in accordance with our Quality and Health & Safety standards.
8. Training will be provided.
9. Shift work.
10. Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements

Hourly Rate: £12.71
Additionally there are a number of Allowances:
Dayshift - £5 per shift
Afternoons - £10.45 per shift
Nightshift - £16.99 per shift
Monthly Attendance Bonus - £40.00
The ability to speak in Welsh would be advantageous
