Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the hospitality industry, particularly within a restaurant or hotel setting. A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to help in various kitchen tasks are essential.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
Support chefs by ensuring that all kitchen equipment is clean and ready for use.
Help with the storage of food items, ensuring proper rotation and labelling.
Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with basic cooking tasks as required under the guidance of experienced cooks.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced culinary setting is crucial.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene practices is preferred.
