Pritchards Pharmacy is an independently owned business with branches in Prestatyn and Meliden. We are looking to recruit a Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician to join our team

Responsibilities and Duties

The role requires someone with excellent team working skills who is able to organise their time and work efficiently. You should hold a pharmacy qualification. Tasks are varied and dependent on current skill level. Duties include dispensing prescriptions, stock management, housekeeping, helping patients manage their repeat prescriptions and liaising with GP surgeries. You will also be required to help customers on the medicines counter and promote pharmacy services and healthy lifestyles. Pharmacy Technicians will be expected to perform according to skill level and engage in pharmacy services as detailed in the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework including Discharge Medicines Reviews, Contraception service and Flu vaccinations, and additional clinical services such as Help Me Quit and Inhaler Review services.

Qualifications and Skills

You should hold NVQ Level 2, 3 or 4 in Pharmacy Services.

You should have good IT and communication skills and demonstrate an excellent approach to team working. You should be dependable and willing to provide services to our patients to a high standard.

A commitment to ongoing professional training is necessary.

Employment is conditional on satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS clearance may be required.

The post can lead to permanent employment for the right person following completion of a satisfactory probationary period.

The post is full time. Job share opportunities for those wishing to work part-time but willing to work flexibly across the working week will also be actively considered. Salary is dependent upon skill level.
