Job Summary - JOINERY BASED WORKSHOP

We are seeking a dedicated Workshop Foreman/Woman to oversee daily operations within our workshop environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, technical knowledge, and leadership qualities to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for mechanical work and team management to contribute to a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate workshop activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
Assist with the assembly, repair, and maintenance of equipment using hand tools and power tools
Monitor work progress and provide guidance to team members to meet project deadlines
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure standards are met
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Manage inventory of tools, parts, and materials required for daily operations
Provide training and support to junior staff or apprentices as needed

Qualifications

Proven experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment with hands-on mechanical knowledge
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision whilst maintaining attention to detail
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable but not essential

Pay: £29,579.88-£40,244.26 per year
