Location: Skelton Industrial Estate, TS12 2LQ.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
Pay: Starting from £13.00 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role

At Homeware Essentials, we're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and motivated Warehouse Operations Team Member to join our growing warehouse team.

Whilst the core responsibility of this role is picking and packing customer orders, we're looking for someone who wants to become a valued member of our warehouse operation. This is much more than a standard warehouse role – we're looking for someone with the right attitude who is keen to learn, develop new skills and grow with the business.

We're far more interested in reliability, attention to detail and a willingness to learn than simply previous warehouse experience.

Your Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Accurately picking customer orders.
Packing customer orders safely and securely.
Working efficiently to meet daily order volumes whilst maintaining excellent accuracy.
Helping to keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
Working closely with colleagues to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.
Following company procedures and maintaining high standards throughout your work.

Has previous warehouse experience (preferred but not essential).

Opportunities to Develop

As you gain experience and demonstrate your ability, there will be opportunities to become involved in a wider range of warehouse operations, including:

Checking customer orders picked by colleagues to ensure the correct products and quantities have been selected before they are packed and despatched.
Stock counts and inventory accuracy checks.
Supporting goods-in operations and container unloading.
Warehouse improvement initiatives and new ways of working.
Supporting the introduction of new warehouse systems and technology.
Forklift training for the right candidate.
Progression into supervisory responsibilities as the business continues to grow.

What We Offer

Competitive pay starting from £13.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Full-time, permanent position.
40-hour working week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm.
No weekend or bank holiday working.
5.6 weeks' paid holiday.
