HomePlus Furniture is an independent family-run furniture retailer with over 35 years of experience. As our online business continues to grow, we're looking for an organised and creative E-Commerce & Content Assistant to help keep our website accurate, engaging and up to date.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys writing, photography, organisation and working across a wide variety of projects.
The Role
Working closely with our E-Commerce Executive and E-Commerce Operations Manager, you'll help maintain our Shopify website while supporting day-to-day office operations.
No two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
Product Content
- Upload new products to Shopify
- Write engaging product descriptions
- Proofread website content
- Update product specifications
- Maintain product attributes
- Organise product categories
- Update pricing and product data
Product Images
- Upload product photography
- Edit and optimise images
- Create AI-assisted lifestyle imagery
- Update colour swatches
- Ensure brand consistency
Website Maintenance
- Check product pages for errors
- Fix missing information
- Monitor stock visibility
- Maintain collections
- Support seasonal website updates
Samples
- Manage product sample requests
- Prepare and dispatch samples
- Monitor stock levels
- Order packaging supplies
- Liaise with suppliers
Reporting
- Update daily spreadsheets
- Produce sales reports
- Monitor best-selling products
- Prepare product lists for purchasing
- Assist with inventory reporting
Office Administration
- General office administration
- Data entry
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
- Calendar management
- Preparing reports and spreadsheets
- Supporting new employee onboarding
- Ordering staff uniforms and liaising with stores
- General administrative support across the business
Communication
- Liaise with suppliers
- Support customer service where required
- Work closely with:
- E-Commerce Operations Manager
- E-Commerce Executive
- Customer Service Specialist
- Liaise with influencers when required
About You
You're organised, creative and enjoy working with both content and administration.
Essential
- Shopify experience (preferred)
- Excellent written English
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Positive attitude
- Team player

Pay: £26,436.80-£28,000.00 per year
